My dad has 3 and I bought a new usgi spec walnut stock to replace the one oversized Greek birch stock and had it shipped off to have the correct stamps put in it to match the serial #, so I’ve commandeered that one for myself. Or shall we say it’s on loan indefinitely.? Things are tack drivers with hand loads aren’t they?

Oh yeh. thats funny my dad has 3 too. Im gonna get an M 14 I think, its the next logical jump. But Im a life long collector of M1s now Ive been bit by the bug.
