I extremely doubt this. By implying this, you're taking away from the fact that these people legitimately have extremely serious mental conditions that need addressing. Waving hands and dismissing it as "demons" or "curses" or something is running from both the problem and the reality of the situation.
I don't believe in demons in the traditional sense. I have not seen any spot in the bible (or otherwise) that implies that the supposed "demons" being expelled from people by Jesus and others are actually "demons"; much more likely they are mental (or physical or both) disorders. Schizophrenia, for example, was commonly perceived as possession throughout history; today we know it is a mental disorder, and we can treat it.
These people need treatment and medicine, not being called demons or curses.
Great reply. I had my own experiences too. When the cat reacts in the room, you know it’s not a dream. Also in one instance I was wide awake. I only started to get ‘attention’ when I became a Christian though.
so if these people are demonic, when do the demons enter?
I know there are rituals,
but some of these people come from 'normal' homes, so how do they become so corrupt?
guess I'm asking if they're born 'innocent'?
