Same...and my daddy was 2 months shy of 18 when he joined the Navy, my granny lied about his age so he could enlist. I often wonder what our country would be like now if all those great veterans were still alive.

same with grandpa ,he was only 17. they held him in Rhode Island naval training base till he turned 18. then a bus ride to California then to Okinowa Japan... its what you did then.
