The photos and videos belong to the DOD that means they are tax supported which also means public property. They aren't owned by the photographers because they're service members. As a veteran I can assure you nothing I did or touched in the military was mine. Everything belonged to the military including me.
But just asked Defense TV yourself.

I just sent an email not too long ago.
This is all I’ve gotten so far. I responded again so I’ll wait.
It seemed automated to me.
care to let us in on what their response has been, or have you not contacted them yourself ?
I don't have to for two reason, 1) I don't care, 2) I know the videos and photos are free use. They belong to the tax payers. Common courtesy would be the only reason for GN to say where they got their material. Otherwise there was no sin committed.
As SgtSteel83 replied in my other (badly phrased) post:
ok fair enough. I didn't down vote you btw. sorry, but I'm far from tech savy. is there an easy way for us to access these pics thru Defense TV?
So I tell y'all to go to the source DVIDS (defense.gov) and I get downvoted? Wow, liberal much?
Yeah, not sure why. There were some on the previous post not getting what you were asking stating that G banned them when you weren't asking them to go to G but rather Defense TV.
So instead of asking a legit question you lied like a dog? Classy. GN has never indicated anything other than being a news site. Anyone that has stated otherwise simply expressed their own opinion.
Ok got you. My bad. I thought you were telling someone to imply that GN had said those things. I misread your post.
