I was watching a MSM "news" propaganda show this morning (I like to see what the latest spin is :) ), and when CBS ran a teaser for tonight's Colbert show, the clip showed him looking at photos of several notable people (it was fast, I saw Zuckerberg, but couldn't id the others), and then he jokingly said, "I see patterns in things!".

I love how they deem finding patterns and being able to piece bits of information together as something only "crazy" people do.
Well, in their defense (and I HATE defending them for ANYTHING), if patterns or connections are totally random, and a person goes overboard talking about what the patterns mean, then it could be a sign of a person being crazy.
Yes, obviously, but that's not what they're doing.
They think to follow the money, to see the family connections, to see who's on which boards/committees/think-tanks and when they move from one to another and what important deals/laws happen to be made at coinciding times, all that is just "crazy" to put together.
THE NUMBERS, MASON! WHAT DO THEY MEAN?!
