I know a lot of MIL and DOD contractors. I pick up bits and pieces from folks. One friend works for a TLA and let me know that they had been providing the WH with pre-recorded IC/PDBs vs in-person briefs.
Another friend is the DOD attache to another country. He griped during PDJT about the constant changes. He says things are now a complete shitshow at the Pentagon, given the "stand down" orders.
My active duty friends are largely silent on the issue, despite being conservatives. Everyone knows this is an illegitimate administration. They are bracing for "change".
Not silent as in lips tight. Just silent as in nothing to say on the matter. Jsut because someone is in the MIL, doesn't mean they have access to top level secrets.
This... And even if you do have access to info, its normally straight line info. Its hard to connect dots together because its all so compartmentalized.
Imagine all the Russian Spys that have came through the service, they have had years to practice being tight lipped..
My drill sgt always talked about this guy who he KNEW had to have been a spy... During something as basic as learning about the days events, or getting ready for a class he would haul off and ask some strange question unrelated about the "propulsion rate of a tomahawk missile" or the type of steel armors were made from...

Them being silent is interesting. Why wouldn’t you talk if nothing’s going on? They’d have said: yeah, BS, routine, business as usual.
Yep. But they still could have said: that Q thing is nonsense. We all laugh about it.

Sometimes I worry because I ask questions like that. Good thing I'm not in the military...unless digital soldier counts
