In hindsight, I believe that this whole thing would have been better handled had he left out the whole banning thing.
A sticky on the front page saying "GEORGE NEWS Should not be Trusted" would have accomplished the same thing without using that term that makes everyone uncomfortable "X is hereby banned". And I stuck by him when flat earth and racism was banned.
Everyone here, or almost everyone, has been banned countless times on Reddit, Voat, and sometimes even TD for the most petty things. We've all seen what teenage and 30 year old powermods can do with no accountability and all the power the website gives them to "do the right thing", and his wording kinda gave that vibe to everyone. And shaming everyone because their spidey senses tingled isn't helping to unite the community either, OP.
I spent the past week over at NoNewNormal on Reddit and one mod decided that everyone there needed to get vaccinated and many users posted screenshots of him banning them for not wanting to take the vaccine. His defense was that he wanted to make the subreddit seem less like a conspiracy subreddit. That was the problem, not him being a lefty or a vaccine pusher, him trying to shape the subreddit in his image because he believed he was right and that he couldn't possibly be mistaken. Evspra didnt do anything close to this but I can see how it set off alarm bells in many people.
He is a good mod who just didn't read the crowd before he opened his mouth. Props to him for sticking to what he believes in. Why did he delete his account?
Yeah he shouldn't have left. Just a bad choice of words.
People on here are way too emotional and defensive.
I get we are being censored like crazy and they are afraid. But we still need to be rational and not attack our own in an emptional response to one bad call.
Yes, but to be fair I remember seeing others get too emotional in calling out "GN shills" where they too turned their anger against their own while thinking they were doing the right thing.
I think even Ev jumped in on that too, he also let his emotion cloud his judgement on some replies. This whole thing could have been avoided had it not been the b word that was used. The whole seemed too sudden and too harsh based on one man's experience.
Another thing would be ego, it sounds very egotistical to others to say "I discovered this is bad so I ban it because I can." to paraphrase. Not everyone can read his mind or understand exactly what he is trying to say and it would be kinda egotistical and set off red flags to demand they believe him regardless.
If anything our reaction to him suddenly dropping that on us should show us why Q and Trump can't just drop the MOAB yet. Why it has to be a slow release and awakening and not "this is bad because trust me. This is now hereby punished because it is bad." because if we react like that think of how antifa-supporting normies would react to Biden being nullified. The band aid has to come off eventually though.
So I believe Evspra was a great mod who did things that TD mods would never dare to do, but he brought this upon himself through his own inability to filter his emotions. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess
I agree. To bring information, to inform is one thing, to ban links to sites is something else entirely. To be American & to live free, is to take responsibility for yourself. Freedom is to risk living dangerously. To risk being hurt. There seems to be a lack of patience with each other. Lots of folks lost control, we are all struggling right now. Normies that were red pilled are losing faith. America, our Republic has fallen. At this moment in time, this is a fact. Folks are looking everywhere for “comms.” Hope has even been turned into some kind of stylized addiction that must be fed. Is this one of the meanings of “March Madness” that Q posted about? Let’s focus in our individual faiths & focus on coming up with plans to save America, follow POTUS & if Q posts again, take it to heart.
I'll be honest. I would be weary if Q posted again since we could never tell if it is now comped or not. I believe one Q post suggested that in the future (by the time the post was made) they would have to leave for good and it lined up with Trump leaving. I'll have to look back into it.
And if it was the end, it is only the truly the beginning. Anons must continue to red pill. I always liked it when PSB went through all the Q posts again. We must also stand up in our communities. <- very hard for us. But if we continue to leave a vacuum the leftists will fill the grassroots void. We must teach civics to the generations that did not receive this vital knowledge in school. As for finding the last Q post, is it for the white hat operators, good information for anons or disinformation for all the bad actors? I would think if we are to face the horrific precipice, we must believe that it is truly over.
