-mind numbing fear causing people to delay emergency treatment for other life threatening conditions -excessive unwarranted ventilator use--on like anyone who would consent

ventilators cause lung damage, and why some preemies are discharged from nicu w/o2 for awhile--preemies have very fast growing lungs and healthy tissue replaces damaged relatively quick unlike adults whose damaged lungs need much more time. So add damaged lung tissue from vent to everything else and no wonder they 'never get off the ventilator'
