Absolutely. It should have said « if I weren’t », that’s why it’s interesting. Mistake, eyes drawn to the mistake - we know Trump’s mistakes are deliberate - so, this instead of a past perfect. I’m all OK for decoding any other posts, but this seems important to me, especially if it’s from Trump.
