Don’t forget that people being asleep is the status quo. A politically active and responsible nation is an exceptional thing. Corruption is expected. Evil is guaranteed.

This is a situation in history that has happened many times before and we always make it through somehow.

There’s always people surprised by “sudden” upheavals and changes, and there’s always people who are not surprised at all.
