I got a mailed letter from the Infernal Revenue Service yesterday about the stimmy. They proudly notified me that I would be getting $2400 ($600 for me, my wife and our two minor kids.) That was the Round 2 payment. So I’m wondering if they screwed up the notice, or did it take that long to get here? It’s sad to think that given our gummint that either answer is plausible.
Yeah, actually I got a letter too (on Wednesday) mostly about TAXES having to do with the 2nd round of the stimulus. Read it a few times and people who didn't file 2020 yet didn't have to claim it as taxable income or those that did can amend because of some issue in the wording of a tax form which was never cleared up until this week.
