Technically EVERYTHING is hearsay though. You hear gossip about the kids you grew up with; family members, neighbors, strangers - you probably half believe most of it without researching it yourself or talking to those people directly. You may have valid points - and you do, I agree with you to extent - but the extent is where everyone decides for themselves.

We are living in a reality where we can't believe the news, can't believe the 'leaders'. We are forced to find each other; to find the information for ourselves, to try and decide what could and what couldn't be real. And, of course, that is where we tend to branch off from one another's thoughts and decisions because we are all researching different information and finding different evidence.

Maybe you just haven't researched enough yet. If you think you have and came to that conclusion for yourself - you are free to not believe. But it's not right to point fingers and belittle others because they choose otherwise. You are 100% capable of being just as wrong as you think they are; doesn't seem like you are leaving room for that possibility.
