I wasn't nervous just apprehensive. I feel free and empowered.

Just did the same today for the first time! Very liberating! May I ask what excuses you had ready? I wasn’t that prepared and had nothing ready to say but like you did not have to worry about it because no one said a word. Not even any looks.
Just that I forgot and pull it out of my pocket. I wasn't going to apologize for not wearing though.
I know this sounds like I’m making this up given our little conversation here but my husband and I just walked into a gun store in our town and NOT A SINGLE PERSON WEARING A MASK! It’s amazing! I almost got emotional. Great feeling to be around a bunch of other gun loving no-mask wearing PATRIOTS!
Hubby & I went into a gun shop also at beginning of the month, no one was wearing them, well a few older folks did (customers like in their 70’s), not even the employees. One of the owners helped us, we had good conversation, talked about everything, before we left I said I just want to thank you about the nonmask wearing. She laughed and said eh, we probably all have already had the virus already. They probably never wore them to be honest, good people in there, even had their pups in the store!
That sounds exactly this store and my experience...but this place had cats! Lmao not even joking they were running around the store it was so funny.
The gun stores in my area have signs that tell people not to wear a mask.... because IT'S A GUN STORE lol
