My 94 Year Old Dad just called me and said we need to do something. He says communists are taking over and we are sitting back and letting it happen. He is pretty wise. But he is afraid. I kind of agree with him.

Aren’t you guys doing anything? I’m in France but I’ve never been so involved since November the 3rd, and even more so now. I’ve never even been affiliated to any political party before.
What can we do? We voted. We contributed lots of money to help the fight.
Well, get involved, be a candidate for local elections, be on any community board, have a say in the way politics are done in where you are, etc. Wasn't that Lin Wood speaking about how for too long we've just sat back and watched and therefore become complacent? I intend to start getting involved in this way as well, but first, I want to learn a bit more. If we always let others take decisions for ourselves, then we've only got ourselves to blame. I know you're going to say but they'll rig it, but I'll say that you won't know until you try - locally I mean.

Don't worry! A lot of folks are getting involved at the grassroots. I am as well, though I live in an area that makes that... difficult. Most of the folks that are getting that good work done won't be spending a whole lotta time commenting on these forums.
We need to keep spreading the word though, I've been pushing for this since inauguration pretty much!
ANY position in local institution helps. We need all the combined influence powers we can get!
