I never said that these things don't exist, I agree they're reprehensible and need to be brought to light.

My point being, the Facebook post offered by the op is exactly what you are saying the other side is using. Propaganda designed to manipulate. It can be debunked in a matter of minutes.

You offer this to someone who's a skeptic but has decided to give you 5 minutes of their time because they think something fishy is going on. A family member, friend, and they find out later this talk never existed, there is no promotional materials, no articles promoting it, no articles condemning it, the image can be traced to a well known stock photo vendor.

You will be considered a fool, the person will you told will consider themselves a fool for entertaining it for 5 minutes. That's not a statement on you as a person, just how it would play out. You'd have then been played by propaganda designed to manipulate, as you say.
