The problem is a bank is a business and any business can mandate stuff to their clients. You know like wearing a a tie and dinner jacket in restaurants or trousers at Walmart.
If enough of the customers were to stand up in that moment, the bank would back down. Would they have everyone in the premise arrested? We have to remember that we are strength in numbers.
Absolutely! Spend you money elsewhere! Punish them with your wallet! On the other hand when a couple of banks have had a visit of some bankrobbers, with medical masks, these mask mandates will quickly disappear! It's a matter of time.....
We the people direct the tide of acceptable and not, though. I will be the individual who will say ENOUGH. NO, I DO NOT CONSENT. If I have money in that bank I will remove it. I will cancel the communist business who chooses to tress pass a member of their union.
Bank of America, Galveston. Apparently the bank manager had asked her to mask or leave and do her banking remotely. She refused, apparently, claiming no government mandate to mask. She then apparently insisted she would be served, and the bank told her they were calling the cops, she needed to mask or leave.
So apparently she refused and stayed there engaging in some argument with staff and customers.
The cop did not have to manhandle her, 65 years young, and the Texas Lady Patriot DID turn to leave but the cop told her no, too late you're being arrested now. So he grabs her, down she goes, twisted and cuffed, yep.
Galveston is a weird place, a lot of leftists/commies down there living off of Gibs. It's a very NY sorta vibe, cops are heavy handed, city government very unfriendly, everything is about revenue and graft it seems. I'm not at all surprised that people refused to help her, they had been listening to her failed argument for a while already and probably wanted her noise gone.
The Lady was violated, in my opinion, and she should sue the idiot cop and city, yep. Stuff like that is why we don't go to Galveston these days, go to Surfside or Freeport, but avoid Galveston unless you enjoy hassles, drama, crime and fees. Heck they charge you by the hour to park at the beach...and that despite the fact we have an open beaches act.
Stay out of Galveston. Stay out of BoA, we have some very good local banks here, don't use the corporate crime syndicates.
And just a little sidebar... if you see such a thing happening, take off your mask and join the person/people, cops cannot arrest us all. That won't happen in a BoA, it would in my bank or in most places outside the cities. Not Galveston tho, because Gibs.
People should have stood up for her. I hope she takes her money out of that bank and sues the living daylights out of them. Which bank was it?

Sure, I know this and we all know this.

But it's not a public space. I am not advocating masks here.....
