Another possibility: What if the news about Myanmar isn't really about Myanmar but the US? Like, the general public can't know what is actually going on, but certain people throughout the world need to know so they are using Myanmar to explain what has happened so far?
I have weird thoughts and then I try to debunk them. I'm wondering what value there would be to deceiving the world like that, or why certain people can't know that the US has had a coup.
