The 250,00 sq. ft. Federal Reserve Bank Building located at 2200 N. Pearl St is closed. The doors are locked and there are barricades on the steps leading to all entrances. There is a guard shack on the North parking lot but only eight cars in the lot and a couple of trucks with signage for an HVAC company. No guards with shotguns at the loading docks, no nothing.

Drove by this morning - metal barricades and cones at the front door. Garage completely closed with what looked like gates down. There was a cherry-picker type machine in the front lobby. I didn’t see HVAC vehicles, only a couple pieces of construction equipment with the name of the equipment but not a company name. There was a guard in the guard stand and someone drove into the uncovered lot while I was passing by.
How did I ever think this was part of our actual government? I looked at their website for the first time ever. No federal agency calls themselves “fed” (Dallas Fed) in any formal capacity yet it’s all over their website. The statements about what they do... Has it always been this obvious??
