I mean it could also be that he's just losing weight, could it not?

He's an older guy and his weight wasn't exactly healthy. Maybe he's taking advantage of some (apparent) time off to make sure he is around and kicking for the next twenty+ years?

Could it just be a lighting thing? I've noticed the Mar-a-lago lighting has been pretty punishing on just about anyone taking pictures with Trump there.
