Wait...are there any actual pictures of that? Because if that truly happened, it means the decal must have been added on the ground for some kind of photo op. There is no way a sticker stays on the plane during flight at 500+ mph and then blows off due to a slight wind gust on the ground...
I wonder how the outside air temperature would play into this. Is there a chance the glue could’ve been warm on the ground so the decal stuck, froze stiff at altitude and weakened, then warmed back up and failed? I mean, try sticking freezing tape to metal.
