This is not a doomer post im just trying to stop this myth.
Guys please listen. The booms are real and the interview was real. I stared at it for half an hour when it came out initially believing it was fake.
The booms come in from the bottom of the frame and move with such rapid ease that our initial reaction is that they must be close to the foreground and small like a handheld microphone, which is why they would look a bit blurry and out of focus. They're blurry because of video compression, and the source video is of such high quality that you can easily see that there was no blur on the booms. Very crisp. If you watch the black one closely you can see that it gets SHADED by Biden as it passes under his hand. Finally, if the video was layered in editing, then they would have had to rotoscope layers for bidens hand to go over the mic and then another for bidens torso for the mics to go over Biden. If it were edited, why would they do that? They wouldn't need to go to all that work to fake a video, they would just need three layers. If it was faked--in order to look like how it does--a video editor would have had to split bidens layer into two on purpose to intentionally put his hand over.
The simple truth is that it was an optical trick.
Im not trying to be contrarian or spread misinformation. This is a very real video and we need to be honest to each other about it.
Thank you, I too watched it over and over, and went frame by frame at one point trying to figure out what was going on. I too concluded the same as you
The top of his head disappears. Strange.
He has white hair and the exposure of the camera blew out the white levels of the his hair and the sky.
To me it appeared that it was just because both the sky and the top of his head/hair were very bright. They just matched each other
Did you see this one? https://mobile.twitter.com/minopinions/status/1369834190297038848?s=21
Yes that one his head does appear to be cropping off without explanation. But this outdoor video with the boom mics seems to be because of a “hotspot” from where the cameras maximum brightness limit is
That one is more damning, but the video is highly compressed, so when he passes the wall with a similar color to his hair, it disappears. I’d like to see the source footage for this before believing it.
