Closest thing I figure, too, but it still seems like a weird place to be in unless it literally JUST left escort pattern and broke off in reverse. I'm no air force but I guess I'd have expected a slightly different pattern to avoid interference with possible other air traffic.
Could also be a camera lens making 'em look closer, in which case it makes more sense I guess.
There wouldn’t be any other aircraft landing or taking off they suspend until all is clear. Fighter jets escort to landing then peal off one on either side, I suppose they could continue straight however, they must have had clearance to break off.
Weird to have a Raptor flying like that around it though? Don't understand what's happening here.
AF1 is landing so the escorts return to base I believe, they don’t land with it.

I'm sure no other planes would have authorization, but safety protocols would likely dictate operating as though there may be other planes.
