There’s some underground tunnels in my town from the 1800s to early 1900s that were filled in under a military academy base turned mental institution turned rental apartment that used to run across the whole town. I was told that slaves used to be transported through it too to escape to free states. Wonder how many of the tunnels in America are functional and how much of the list is up to date.
