If you are really depressed I highly recommend lifting weights, or jogging, or both. Bike rides work too.
I lift weights at home. Ive never been a meat head or gym guy. I have 2 light dumb bells. The trick is to lift a lot. Light weight = easy to lift a lot without hurting yourself.
Heavy metal music helps some people also. Sepultura and Hatebreed can be a good place to start. Or classics like Korn.
