Can confirm. Got it earlier this year. I’ve had colds that were worse. Only really troubling thing is that for a couple weeks, I couldn’t smell my own farts to gauge whether or not to vacate the premises. Dark times indeed.

Likewise and I was 69 at the time. It didn't kill me but I had to have my wife put chilli in the food (which, normally, I hate!) Not sure about the farts.
