I spent decades living in the country. Hunting, fishing, growing food, foraging etc...hell I even love dandelion salad! I'm here for anyone who needs help or has questions...
lots of good books (this one is at the very top of the list) out there as well as very good blogs and videos. But reading or watching vids will not get you prepared - practiced skills are critical.
There are a lot of structural paradigms out there to suggest how to build preparedness. First, figure out what you are preparing for. Then think about what you need to learn and build out to meet that contingency. One generic structure that helps with prioritization is to consider the Rule of Threes = you can survive three minutes without oxygen, three hours in an extreme environment without shelter, three days without water and three weeks without food. Wrap all that in security and medical/hygiene.
