It’s also possible that what is now known as XVIII Airborne Corps was once the 7th Virginia Volunteer Infantry or some such and it and has evolved into an Airborne Corps. Before they were called airborne they were called parachute infantry. Think cavalry going from horses to helicopters. It’s still called 7th Cavalry but could just as easily be the 7th Helicopter Corps instead.
Just gonna say it... the army has a whole department dedicated to lineage.. all the way back to founding for units as they get activated and in activated.. it's possible the Dragon Corps has some lineage to a unit Henry may have founded or was a member of... or it's another message
Greetings 18F, retired 18Z here.
I am as well... just liked being a Fox better... Trojanhorse... you?
Or armor.. many a Cavalry element became armor units... the 2nd, 3rd and 11th.. I served in the latter on the east west german border.... back in the day
Funny you should say trojanhorse, my old units symbol. I prefered 18B most.
Carson or Devens.. or Boblingen?
Devens, tolz, carson.
