I'm sure he doesn't mind hearing it though, kind of like only saying I love you to someone only once. Reaffirming is to remind of parts that may have been forgotten. Kind of like the pledge of allegiance. Or if you go to court do you tell the judge -I swore to tell the truth the last time I was in court so no need to do so now.
