Could you make the case that millions of children are dead because of aggressive and deceptive marketing campaigns in poor nations by nestle to sell (often contaminated and of inferior quality) infant formula powder and discourage breast-feeding by the mothers of these children? Yes, and people have made this case.
Cocoa is the chief agricultural export of Ghana and Ghana's main cash crop.[1] The world largest irrigation scheme of cocoa is Ivory Coast, Ghana is the second largest cocoa exporter in the world.
With some two million children involved in the farming of cocoa in West Africa, primarily Ghana and Ivory Coast, child slavery and trafficking were major concerns in 2018.[9][10] However, international attempts to improve conditions for children were failing because of persistent poverty, absence of schools, increasing world cocoa demand, more intensive farming of cocoa, and continued exploitation of child labor. - Wikipedia
Just to clarify, Mondelez is not "a chocolate company". They're the third or fourth-largest packaged consumer foods company in the world, behind Nestle and Kraft (used to be the snack foods division of Kraft).
Nabisco, Cadbury, Perfect, the old American Homes' products like Toblerone, Trident Gum, Altoids; they're all part of it. They even tried to buy out Hershey Foods like a year and a half ago.
They're close to a blue-chip stock. Chances are, if you have a 401k, your fund is invested in Mondelez. Buffett is heavily invested, but, shit, what does that guy not have an investment in (besides cryptos)?
Stay with the World Cocoa Foundation, though. They're less "an industry group" and more of a cartel... the OPEC of cocoa beans. It also shouldn't surprise anyone that Cocoa is produced in the poorest, least educated, tropical countries that Bill Gates loves to use as a proving ground for his sickest ideas.

These are not nice companies.
With Easter coming up, we should all consider boycotting these candy makers for the season.
They should be banned simply for having ruining the Cadbury egg ... js
