In the present study, multivariate analysis performed using Cox regression modeling and propensity score matching to control for potential confounders affirmed that treatment with hydroxychloroquine alone and hydroxychloroquine in combination with azithromycin was associated with higher survival among patients with COVID-19. Patients that received neither medication or azithromycin alone had the highest cumulative hazard. The benefits of hydroxychloroquine in our cohort as compared to previous studies maybe related to its use early in the disease course with standardized, and safe dosing, inclusion criteria, comorbidities, or larger cohort. The postulated pathophysiology of COVID-19 of the initial viral infection phase followed by the hyperimmune response suggest potential benefit of early administration of hydroxychloroquine for its antiviral and antithrombotic properties. Later therapy in patients that have already experienced hyperimmune response or critical illness is less likely to be of benefit.

That study is old and seems to undersell the benefits a bit because it was based on patients already diagnosed with Wuhan Flu (a.k.a. "COVID 19"):
"Patients with a COVID-related admission in the health system from March 10, 2020 to May 2, 2020 were included."
HCQ is best as a prophylactic to keep your immune system from going haywire. If you get a bad case of Wuhan Flu I would be pushing for Ivermectin and the Marik protocol:

I'm taking 200mg of HCQ weekly as a prophylactic, along with Vitamin D, Zinc, and the occasional Melatonin. If I come down or get exposed to Wuhan Flu I'll pop the Ivermectin.
Despite the relative harmlessness of Wuhan Flu these days, I'm continuing the regimen because 1) Dr. Mengele/Fauci recommended against it, and 2) We have no clue how the experimental vaccines will change Wuhan Flu and transmission thereof.
Interesting aside, I used speakwithanmd.com a year ago and the doctor wasn't even aware of Ivermectin. I told him it was commonly used to treat animals and he joked that he wouldn't prescribe something used on an animal. A year later he not only knows what it is, he's prescribing it to patients with symptoms.
Doctors are not gods. Do your own research and grill the fuckers.
Is it good to take HCQ for a prolonged amount of time?
My wife’s dad has been on it for years for his RA.
