So I was at class today and my Calc teacher was talking about a nationwide siren test that would be happening at around 9:30 AM. Class was over and done by 10 and still no sirens. Then suddenly, as I was walking to my next class, I heard the sirens start up. It sounded like hundreds and hundreds of sirens going off at once from everywhere.
When they do the normal test every Friday, they do it at noon and only one is tested. There are four sirens in the city since it's fairly sprawling. But today is Wednesday and it happened at 10.
When I got back, my brother said that it was going all over the country, but I can't find articles or anything to back that up. Nothing here either.
Anyone else hear siren testing at an odd time? I am half-wondering if the storm is upon us.
You know i wouldnt have thought anything of it, being this time of the year. But both local schools and both local cities test their tornado sirens today.
For quite a lengthy amount of time.
Not unusual for this time of the year i suppose. Maybe the schools and cities at the same time is. But its just as add that it seemed to happen at the same time in other states as well?
