I have never, in all my adult life, had a wound requiring bandaging at the base of my middle finger. Between kitchen knives, cat scratches, blisters, and babies biting, that's like the safest place on my entire hand.
Not that I think this has anything to do with her bandage, but I regularly from time to time have to wear a band aid at the base of my middle finger. Dry winters + dry skin = my hands crack up and the skin on my fingers likes to split at random, and bleeds...
I just go ahead and wear it throughout the day maybe 1/3 of the time because if it re-opens and I don't notice, I can accidently get blood somewhere, such as clothes, or paper.
