North Korea I believe were intended to be antagonists to initiate another future global war used as a pawn which is why they were given nuclear capabilities. Russia is demonized because they are predominantly Orthodox and a Nationalist country that is pushing back against global manipulation . Also it is easy to point them as an enemy because of the prior decades of propaganda of the red scare just say russia.
