Actually a lot of people all over the world are watching the ship bullshit very closely. The Suez is one of the most strategic military points on the globe. And thousands of corporations around the world have logistics, and other personnel monitoring, and adjusting international commerce plans because of this as well. It's a big deal.

The fact that you mention that the US MSM is barely talking about this is somewhat concerning to me.
