A fallen Missouri police officer will be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor Society's Citizen Honors Award after he died protecting a friend's business from looters during police brutality protests last year.
Capt. David Dorn was named Thursday as a recipient of the 2021 Single Act of Heroism Award, recognizing his service after he was shot in June 2020 while responding to an alarm at a pawn shop.
"To find out that Dave was awarded this great honor just floored me," Ann Dorn, his widow, told "Fox & Friends" on Saturday. "It’s a bittersweet moment."
"He would have been humbled and honored by this," she continued. "I can see him smiling right now, saying ‘No, I don’t deserve this.’ That would be his reaction, but, yes, he deserves this."
Dorn will accept the award on behalf of her late husband in September. "David Dorn was dedicated to helping others and protecting his community, even after he retired from law enforcement and through his last moments with us," Hawley said, according to KTTN. "His character represents the absolute best of Missouri and this country."
The Missouri Senate also honored Dorn by passing a bill to designate a portion of State Highway 180 in St. Louis as Captain David Dorn Memorial Highway. Source - Fox.
Rest In Peace David Dorn.
His family gets a medal, while George Floyd’s family gets $27 million... so fucked up.
One of the more disgusting stories from last year's "Summer of Love." Victim of Burn Loot Murder and Antifags and the MSM FAKE news never wanted to talk about it because he was black, a business owner and a former cop.
I pray all these evil SOB's burn for eternity.
RIP Mr. Dorn.
the video of him with death rattle on a sidewalk from a gunshot wound is far more disturbing than fentanyl floyd. and not a white person in a mile radius. just the typical behavior you would expect during looting in certain areas. they killed that old man over a tv set. the youngster that tries to at least comfort him keeps saying it.
the fact that this video seems to have vanished off the internet shows you how deep their control of the narrative goes.
27M for his family would have been nice.
It's about time!
