This is new since last night for sure. I was looking at the canal and using the measuring tools just last night (on googol earth) and was able to see and take measurements off of quite a few ships that were passing through when the photos were taken.

Now obviously the images I was seeing were not new, but there was indeed ships visible along the canal. There were a couple of areas where it was easy to see the composite lines from the multiple pics they use, but there were ships in every segment. Today the canal itself is blacked out and the bays are blurred really bad so you can’t see shit.

But WHY? This isn’t a live feed situation, everything you see on there is “old news” so to speak. They’re not stopping us from seeing what’s happening at the moment, but for some reason they don’t want us to look anyway.
