Having spent a few years strolling around the sandbox myself, I can attest to that. At this point one must make the personal determination to weigh the high cost of living in a society with the illusion of freedom, versus finding the thugs that rob you the least. I could live nicely in muscat or Aqaba. Does that make sense?
