Almost daily a few military copters fly north over my house heading towards Canada. Later in the day they fly over again heading out. No idea what they are doing but I have lived in the same neighborhood for 20 years and this only began a few month ago.
Based on prior months posts, it sounds like training may be crammed in at the end of the month. Based on out time at Rucker that makes some sense, but I could be completely wrong.
Same here. Not sure what to make of it. If anything. I'm rural and live between a couple different forts and cities. Helicopter traffic was normal a couple years ago but certainly seems more frequent now.
I live 15 minutes from Fort Knox. I've seen a lot of air traffic that looked militaryish flying around lately. Godman Airfield is in the Fort Knox area so that could explain it. It's not all the time and it's not every day but it's a lot more than normal.
That place is serious business. There's a certain road you can take to enter Fort Knox and it's easy to mistake it with the regular access road. This certain road is one way, meaning there's nowhere to turn around until you get to the base itself. The first time (and last) I mistakenly took the one-way road to Fort Knox I about pissed my pants. The men there at the entrance were kind to me, ladypede plus they saw how nervous I was, their guns were mighty huge up close. They asked for my license, asked me what I was doing, they were very paranoid. They said they needed to look in my car, I had no complaints and offered to pop the hatchback and even the hidden compartment under the trunk, they were happy with my cooperation.
They ran my license number and after a short conversation, they allowed me into the base only to turn around to take the exit road. I could feel their eyes on me the entire time I was looking for the way to the exit road. Fort Knox entrance is not easy to navigate. I was glad to be out of there. The army guys were serious and curious, but also kind. I have never turned down that road again. Scared the ever-loving piss right out of me.
We’ve noticed it here as well. We have always had a few military aircraft training and parachute training, but the past few months has been non stop day and night military aircraft that usually don’t fly into the small airport close to my house
Oh yes. Even at 9:50 EST there are 20 Refueling Tankers in the air over the US. Some days I have seen nearly 50. Refueling fighters not showing up on flight tracker apps.
Y'all ain't going to believe this, but yesterday evening I saw about 8 helicopters flying in formation above my neighborhood. I don't know what it was for but they were in formation and they were flying very low to the ground.
There's been tons more AWACS flying over rural west Texas past couple years! Had 6 Chinooks in formation fly over last summer heading southeast. And had a formation of 8 Black Hawks fly over last fall.
Seen a lot of big C130s and Globemasters, too. (I planefag a little)
Lots more individual helicopters past few months. And these stub winged drone looking things. Big plane, not a toy. Probably not even up to 2000 altitude going over. Definitely a snooper.
All over the USA people are seeing abnormal troop movements, across land, sea, and air.
In the UK we are seeing a lot more in the way of chinooks flying in the south east, and little in the way of general air traffic otherwise. Whatever is going down isn't small.

Lots of F35s storming low level around central Alabama
Saw my first osprey flying around reno today, not any marine air bases nearby.

You would have to pay attention to drill weekend etc.

I’ve not noticed any difference tbh
It is a global phenomenon now.

Two F-16s flew low level over head last week. Both were loaded with bombs and missiles. I've never seen them with the bombs and missiles before.
