Easter is the next day
God Wins Have Faith
Will be Biblical
Just trying to encourage everyone to remember what God has done for us this Easter!
Uhhhh, no it is not! Passover is Biblical.
There wouldn't be a New Testament without Easter. He died and rose again on the third day. Biblical.
Yes He did but Easter is not Biblical. It was introduced by the Catholic church to make the early Christians quit celebration Passover because of the anti Jewish feelings of the Catholic church. You can Google the history of Easter--named after the goddess Estar---but the first couple of hundred years after the resurrection, the church celebrated Passover just like the Jews but with the symbols Jesus gave us. Celebrating Easter is not anti Christian but it is not Biblical.
Jesus died on the 14th of Nisan and was resurrected on the 17th day of Nisan---there is conjecture of which day it was on the Roman calendar but like you say, the act was the important thing. It is amazing when you look at all the dates of epic events in the Bible and how they played out in prophesy. Be blessed!
Jesus Christ dying and rising again has nothing in common with Ishtar worship and fertility rites adopted by the catholic church to get more money in their coffers.
Passover IS very Biblical. It pretty much kicked it all off... and there wouldn’t be an Easter without Passover, it’s true.
Doesn’t make Easter any less Biblical. ??
Easter is nowhere in the Bible. We celebrate the risen Christ on the Catholic holiday Easter but Christians in the first 3 centuries celebrated Passover in the way Jesus told us to. They were called Quartodecimans by the Catholic church and eventually excommunicated from the church. Nothing wrong with celebrating the resurrection of our Savior on Easter but it is not Biblical.
Fine. If it’s that important to you... that works for me. ?
(Christendom refers to Resurrection Sunday —which IS in the Bible— as Easter, even if that isn’t the word used in the Bible. Future proves past. ??)
Here is aa nice history lesson if you are interested. Have a blessed Easter.

I was referring to the resurrection of Christ. But these posts make a person think a little harder.
I go by the written word of God called the Holy Bible. Easter eggs and the bunny rabbit are pagan symbols of fertility going all the way back to Babylon. Before you start quoting Catholic or Orthodox "doctrines of me", read a little historical facts about Easter, Christmas and the other holidays people celebrate. We are not to judge anyone about what they eat or a holy day so don't get so offended!
