I occasionally ask people wearing masks outside, who are by themselves, why they are wearing a mask. Today I asked some guy and he said, "Because I forgot to take it off", which indicates to me, that some know how stupid it is, and are not willing to defend continuing to be sheep, and would rather use a stupid excuse for wearing it outside when there is no threat to them or others.

I don't go shopping anymore, my girlfriend orders online and picks it up at the store. I went with her like a week ago and I saw the shopping cart guy outside wearing a mask, gathering carts. I said, "they make you wear masks outside?" And he said, "No they don't make me, I just like to." I said, "You know masks don't do anything right? They don't stop the spread of covid, there was just a National Institute of Health study proving this." And he begins getting agitated and says, "I just feel better wearing it." And as he was walking away I shouted, "look up that National Institute of Health study on masks." Lol.
I'm at a point where I don't care anymore. I don't go out much, never have. But when I do and I see people wearing masks, a decent amount of time I will say something to them. It depends on whether I feel like dealing with a conflict or not.
My girlfriend got mad at me about it, saying that not everyone has to feel like me. People can have their own beliefs. I said that allowing people to spiral into mass hysteria is not a virtue. Moreover, they are bullying us with mask mandates and shaming. If they kept their opinion to themselves and there was no mandate, fine. But that's not the case. We need to stand up for ourselves and not allow this idiocy to go unchecked.
Sounds like your girlfriend and my wife would get along well :) She is pretty much in lockstep with me on political, moral, and religious issues, but she doesn't like me to question/discuss things in public with strangers. I tell my wife about our need to get people to question things. We can't change politicians, but we can have some impact on people we come across. Just think if every person who knows the truth about covid were to get just one other person who presently is just a sheep, to at least begin to question what is going on, we could have a big impact.
I agree. COVID-19 stands for Certificate of Vaccination ID-AI (1st and 9th letters of the alphabet).
