Unity against the Division.
They want you divided by Race, divided by Religion, divided by Politics.

Where did this post ever say or imply that "everyone is the same"?
Equal rights and responsibilities does not mean "everyone is the same"; it means judging everyone by the same stick of merit, not by unchangeable factors. It recognizes that even if statistically someone is more likely to be x, there are exceptions to that statistic, and therefore, logically, justice lies only in judgement on an individual basis.
Individualism is fundamental in Christianity and in Americanism; we are not created equally (as in identically), but we are equal in our rights and responsibilities. Therefore, all are to be held to the same equal measure, and treated respective to the results. Americanism takes that a step further, and provides us with equal opportunity as well.
We all get to pull ourselves up with the bootstraps once we're down, and also when we're up.
We know we're forgiven by the God we choose.
Me personally, Christ; Jesus.
I'd love a discussion on the Philosophy and Theology of America....
Maybe I should start a new thread?
I will lean heavily on the Constitution; as it was created before me, by Great Men.
I welcome your comments, because it seems like you're quite well thoughtful with your opinions.
You speak of an idealism rooted in reality, except the problems arise when the outcomes are not “equal.” This leads to people looking for nonexistent “reasons” why this is the case. Then they seek out “solutions” to combat their “reasons.” This leads to policies like apportioning grades based on race instead of merit, or making legal theft because arrests are disproportionate.
The trade-off is just too great. A black person can be an asset to society, but black people (in the aggregate) are absolutely destructive to civilization. Everywhere they exist in numbers. The greater the numbers the worse the conditions.
It was God that divided us.
