Excerpt of the full paragraph in the USA Today article you cite, PiMiner, for context:

'Rabei said the ship's captain has yet to respond to several demands by the canal authority, including surrender of the black box and documents sought for the investigation.'

I agree with, yours, and the captain's course of (in)action. I'm not a Law Fag but, I will eagerly follow the legal circus that is certain to ensue.

Should the identity of the Ever Green's captain remain anonymous? If so, to what end?
