It can also cause acute hyperthyroid issues. Doctors will say you need to have your thyroid removed and be on pills for the rest of your life. If so, check your diet and make sure you are not consuming a lot of aspartame (maybe unknowingly.) Cut out the aspartame and give your body a chance to recover.
