Was the season 1 esp 9 a SiFi attempt to let us know something? For those who didn't watch or don't remember a space Nazi comes to the station with an immortality drug, the catch is you have to kill someone to make it. It ends with the Vorlons destroying her while telling the crew "You are not ready for immortality."
To be honest most of B5 seems to be a SiFi take on today's headlines, here hoping real life has as good an upswing after the bad guys got shoved into the light.
You have to understand, this is the purpose of storytelling. It doesn't mean that the writers are DS (though I'm aware that's possible and with Hollywood usually probable too). But we tell stories to each other to learn about human behavior, about archetypes and how they interact with each other, which ones are the strongest, which ones should we be wary of. Vampires exist as a story to warn of super rich people drinking the people dry of their livelihoods (and also probably from historical instances of people getting adrenochrome or some other product from sacrificial victims). In the story of Elizabeth Bathery, she kills virgin maidens and bathes in their blood to stay beautiful and young. We've been telling stories like this for a long time.
Once again, I'm not saying you're wrong, because I don't know, maybe DS or weird adrenochrome freaks DID write that episode. Entirely possible!
But I just wanted to illustrate to any who'd read that storytelling, as a tool used throughout history, is a lot more powerful and than most people realize!
