Yes, they do research there. I was stationed there as an MP. I was always told we’d be in big trouble if anything ever got because we lived right there on base.

Yes. A few years back I had gone into Fort Detrick to do a marketing visit with their medical practices. Prior to even getting pass the guard station, I had to get out of my car for it to be thoroughly searched inside and out!

Additional details are coming out, it looks like the shooter was killed at Fort Detrick, but the shootings took place at the Riverside Tech Park about 4 miles from Fort Detrick.
