I was out and about today for work, I saw hundreds of people, and two masks. Rural Indiana largely ignored mandates, with the smaller cities mostly playing along, barely half-heartedly.
Since election time however, most everybody's been done with it. Like other places, people are tired and want normalcy. With the idiots in charge, and rhinos being outed everywhere, even fewer people have patience like before.
It's been beautiful, mid-70s, and not many people care about masks.
For myself, I talked my mother out of getting the vaccine with evidence from everywhere. My dad still wants it, but he will come around eventually.
They're flying this month for the first time in over a year, both retired. Nervous about getting covid-19, they still haven't got it, it's understandable, they're old. :-)
Nice! So sick of suburban NC. Masks are everywhere, all of the time. I wore one twice, once for my son's surgery and once so my 7 year old daughter didnt have to miss a father daughter event with friends, only for 2 minutes to pass a desk.
I am sick of seeing people in masks, tired of people larping like they are fighting through some kind of trauma A trauma where nobody is sick. Was with a group of 30 and 40 year old Dads. They all talked about the vax. Most of them had gotten it or are going to.
My brother got the damn vax. My other brother and I tried to talk him out of it. He is a MAGA guy, He isnt nervous about covid, He just thinks it is easier to go along, he was worried his company would push it due to travel. He stayed away from mRna, but went with aborted baby parts. Getting an experimental vax for such little risk of actual virus makes no sense.
I love hearing stories about peoole waking up, just wish I could see any of it locally, everyone is dead asleep here and it is driving me crazy.
