My governor, Bill Lee, just signed into law the Constitutional Carry law. It had passed the state House, and then the Senate, recently and sent to Gov. Lee's desk for signature, which he gladly did. I've never been prouder of my home state. The law goes into effect, I believe, on July 1.

Well, tornadoes do happen here but they are not as common in Oklahoma and tornado alley. Don't know where you're moving from, but there are natural disasters awaiting just about everywhere.
Wish I could give you a better answer, but I can't give you specifics. Perhaps some research with the weather channel could help.
Ironic but the counties to my west are under a tornado warning right now. They happen, but it's not what I would call common.
The best part is that we are sincere in our hospitality.
That peace and quiet is priceless.
Build a basement rancher into the hill and stick a storm shelter in the basement under the porch. Plant some trees and shrubs away from the house for windbreaks. Some counties get hit harder than others with high winds.
