I recently lost a cousin in So Ca in the beginning of March. His remains still have not been cremated because of the backlog. I think this all depends on the area. LA has a higher number of cases to be processed. But, at the same time, I have a friend that works for the ME's office where we live and she has seen no uptick compared to previous years - but they have had a number of "COVID +" cases. This increase however, has not slowed them down even with the extra precautions they must take because of COVID. It seems to be more of a reclassification for them. Instead of the normal influenza deaths, they are now classified as deaths due to complications while COVID +. That is not the same thing as saying someone died from COVID.
We cannot take what happens in one area, city, town, etc, and extrapolate that to the entire country, or world. In the end, we must look at the entire picture to clearly see. To cherry pick isolated situations and widely apply them makes us all look foolish.

You are correct. NO virus has ever been truly isolated. Whatever the source, some people have been made sick from something and those people present with a symptomology labeled as "COVID." Now, whatever the causative factor(s), people have become sick and some have died. Whether someone subscribes to Germ Theory or Terrain Theory does not in any way take away from those that are caught in the middle of this game of semantics and in reality have been, and are being impacted. All of this discussion is for the sake of understanding and trying to navigate the minefield.
