Since it's clear we are watching watching a movie, and massive change is coming, what are people investing in? What's some strategies to take for ensuring revenue growth during this time?
I'm an investing nube, and have had mediocre results trying to get started.
Thanks in advance for any pro tips! WWG1WGA!!
I would concentrate on capital preservation not revenue growth at this point. Physical gold & silver, guns and ammunition, alcohol, toilet paper and monero.
I’d agree. There are so many different ways this can play out. A market collapse is different than a currency collapse.
If you think the markets are going to crash (and they probably will) then you’ll want to move out of stocks and either hold cash or buy bonds or some other low risk investment. When the crash happens you can move back into stocks and be perfectly positioned to cash in on any recovery.
If you think the dollar is going to collapse then the last thing you’ll want is do to hold cash. Start with the basics you’ll need to survive, and move up from there... food > guns > supplies > tools. Make sure you’re caught up on home and car maintenance. Once you have what you need to survive, consider buying some gold or silver. If the dollar collapses you can use those to barter. You could conceivably also cash in some of your gold for a lot of now worthless dollars and use them to pay off your mortgage, as that is what you’ve committed to pay the bank with. In a nutshell, you’ll need practical stuff to barter with: gold and silver have historically been good bets, but lighters, tools, food, and clothing will all do the trick when the system goes down.
That's been my strategy as well. Ideal would be to buy when the markets bottom out, something one can't do if they are also bankrupted.
Not to deter anyone from stock investments, just my perspective is that it is at best a gamble.
US steel /still cheap US foods Sysco foods foodservice going to pop when everything opens up
Coinbase in a few days
Dennys /they pulled alot of stock off the table and are positioned to crush other restaurants that have or will fail
Norfolk southern is up there may fall again if pipeline reopens
Im not an adviser take everything at your own risk
Im in conserve mode guns ammo supplies and a little in a total stock index fund. Yes prices of stock are manipulated DUH but the total market collapse is unlikely. I think stay diversified
Thank you, everyone! Appreciate the insights!
