Notice, he did not specify the time period that Floyd was alive for while he was at the hospital. Is that "period" seconds, or minutes; how long?

So Chauvin is basically being accused of delivering a retroactively lethal knee choke capable of killing a person 45+ minutes after the choke.

Not long. I remember it mentioned and quickly forgotten, but it was only about half an hour. Probably "alive" in the CPR assisted sense and then they gave up.
